Electrician Apprentice

Location: Houston, TX 77029
Day Shift Available
Pay: $24.00–$30.00/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician Apprentice to join our manufacturing team in Houston. This position is responsible for assisting with the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience bending conduit, pulling wire, reading blueprints, and performing low-voltage and medium-voltage wiring in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of equipment and sub-assemblies

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P amp;ID drawings

  • Bend conduit and pull wire according to project specifications

  • Perform low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) wiring and terminations

  • Install and terminate control wiring and MCC wiring

  • Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems

  • Report defective materials or equipment issues to supervisors

  • Complete assigned tasks according to production schedules

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles

  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures

  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Current Texas Electrician Apprentice License required

  • 2–4 years of experience as a licensed electrician apprentice

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and P amp;ID drawings

  • Experience with conduit bending, wire pulling, and electrical terminations

  • Familiarity with assembly tools, measuring devices, and shop mathematics

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Education amp; Training
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Current Electrician Apprentice License required

  • Enrollment in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program preferred

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing or industrial electrical experience

  • Experience installing rigid conduit

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Physical Requirements amp; Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/shop environment

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs frequently

  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk throughout the shift

  • Ability to work up to 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed

  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned facility

  • Safety glasses required; hearing protection recommended

  • Steel-toe boots required
