Electrical Systems Technician

Location: KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools 1814 West Collins Ave, Orange, CA 92867
Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $29.32 - $37.98 per hour

Kyocera SGS Precision Tools is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and controls within our manufacturing facility. If you bring advanced electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with CNC and PLC-controlled equipment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and reliability, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC, PLC, relay logic, and VFD control systems.
  • Install, modify, and maintain electrical equipment and machine controls.
  • Diagnose electrical issues involving machine tools and facility power distribution systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Coordinate electrical repairs and replacement parts with approved vendors.
  • Document maintenance activities and repairs in the CMMS system.
  • Support maintenance and production teams with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts
  • Promote safe work practices, including proper use of lockout/tagout procedures

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED with technical training in electrical systems or related field
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Experience troubleshooting CNC, PLC, relay logic, and industrial control systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid California driver's license
  • AutoCAD LT and CMMS (7i, PeopleSoft, or similar) experience preferred
  • Electrical system design, analysis, and repair experience preferred

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments where personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.

Additional Information

  • Scheduled on-call rotation required; compensation provided in accordance with California law and company policy.
  • Overtime is required when scheduled based on business needs.
  • Powered Industrial Truck certification provided by the Company.
