The QA/QC Inspector I is responsible for verifying and validating whether products or services meet specified requirements involved in all phases of the Quality Assurance Inspection processes.

This position is part Pall Corporation and will be located onsite in Nottingham, MD. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and overtime is routine. This position reports to the Quality Manager and is part of the Quality Assurance department located in Timonium, Maryland. This is an on-site role. There will be requirements to occasionally commute between the Nottingham Business Distribution Center (BDC) and Timonium site.

Initial training (1+ month) will be at the Timonium site.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure meltblown filter media, subassemblies, and finished cartridges meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Support extrusion, assembly, and finishing operations through timely inspection, testing, and nonconformance management. Protect product integrity by maintaining compliance with the site Quality Management System (ISO / regulated manufacturing environment).

  • Perform final inspection of finished products in accordance with approved specifications, inspection procedures, sampling plans, and quality documentation, verify that finished products meet visual, functional, and performance requirements prior to release. Inspect product characteristics related to integrity, sealing, leak prevention, and overall compliance to ensure product is acceptable for shipment to the customer.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum two (2) years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment operating under ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485.

  • Experience in filtration, polymer processing, extrusion, medical device, or cartridge assembly manufacturing preferred.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time. Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.

  • Strong manual dexterity and handeye coordination

  • Visual acuity of 20/25 or better (with correction); ability to pass Ishihara Color Vision and Jaeger Level 1 vision examinations; flexibility to work overtime as needed.

If would be a plus if you also possess previous experience with:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.

The hourly range for this role is $24.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
