Job description

This position requires the ability to design and program custom automated equipment. Capable of being the controls lead on large multiple module systems. You will develop solutions to complex automation problems, oversee project execution providing conceptual and technical expertise. To provide leadership and technical direction to all Controls Engineering team members. Responsible to assist with the project's success. Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed. To develop and program automated equipment according to a customer and internal specification.
  • Lead the development of Controls architecture for large multiple module systems.
  • Program control systems for servo, robotic and air operated stations, along with test and electrical devices.
  • Ensure the electrical design is functional, robust, and cost effective.
  • Innovate and use good judgment to incorporate Calvary Robotics standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in the development of junior engineers.
  • Create electrical wiring schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, Bill of Materials, organize release packages, and update schematics.
  • Exercise Project management skills by maintaining project scope and identify scope creep working under the confines of project schedule and budget
  • Participate in internal and customer design reviews, installations, and service calls when needed.
  • Guide Electricians in wiring and codes. Support software validation requirements.
  • Work with suppliers to find/develop the most functional and economical solutions to design issues.
  • Problem-solve with Mechanical Builders, debug software issues, and update all appropriate documentation.
  • Communicate ideas and comprehend information both verbally and in written form.
  • Work closely with Mechanical Engineering and Build and exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views.
  • Follow all policy and procedures to maintain ISO9000 Certification requirements.
  • Prioritizes, plans, and organizes work and workspace.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000; however, Calvary Robotics considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.   • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent experience. Minimum of ten years of directly related experience. Technical understanding of integrating industrial devices.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell RSLogix or Siemens development software, Schematic Capture Software, AutoCAD or Equivalent CAD environments.
  • Strong proficiency in the design, programming, testing, commissioning of control systems to include PLC's/HMI, DCS, SCADA,Servos, Vision and Robotics
  • Strong technical writing, communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead a cross-functional team environment
