Job description

PSAB ESS: Electrical Technician (Secret Clearance)

Under the AFCAP V Program, KBR supports the U.S. Air Force by providing Engineering Support Services to the 378 ECES. These services ensure mission-critical Installation Engineering, Asset Management and Visibility, and Real Property support to the 378 AEW. In addition to Engineering Support Services at Prince Sultan Air Base, KBR also provides food services and other quality-of-life support to sustain base operations.

The Electrical Technician supports Utilities and Facilities electrical portfolios by executing system-level condition assessments, validating inventories, and supporting sustainment requirements planning using SMS BUILDER and related data systems. This role contributes to BIAT functions and supports Sub-AMP and AMP leadership by providing actionable inputs for prioritization, planning, and performance management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical system condition assessments and inventory verification (interior systems and infrastructure interfaces as assigned)
  • Support identification and correction of inventory errors and BUILDER data quality issues within required timelines
  • Provide technical input for electrical safety practices, fire detection systems, control systems, and maintenance/repair planning
  • Assist Operations Flight shops with prioritization guidance and deconfliction of work tasks for WRRB
  • Participate in Sub-AMP working groups and support PM/CM planning balance and mid-range CM strategy development
  • Support quarterly data reviews and implementation of data entry standards across shops

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in building electrical systems, electrical safety, fire detection systems, power distribution, control systems, and equipment maintenance/repair
  • Air Force minimum 5-level or equivalent experience
  • AFIT required: WENG 200, WMGT 231, WMGT 417
  • Strong documentation discipline and ability to execute assessment production requirements
  • The ability to work safely in compliance with OSHA standards and applicable electrical codes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with arc flash safety concepts and electrical control systems troubleshooting documentation
  • BUILDER assessor experience (including BRED workflows)
  • Experience supporting airfield/area lighting or base infrastructure environments
