Job description

Drive & Shine is looking for an experienced Electrical Controls & Automation Lead to oversee our electrical department and support equipment builds, automation projects, and field installations.
This is a hands-on leadership role.

You will lead projects and technicians while also helping with electrical assembly, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and startup support.
We are looking for someone with strong industrial electrical experience who enjoys solving problems, leading teams, and working both in the shop and in the field.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical team during equipment builds and installations
  • Build and wire industrial control panels and cabinets
  • Read and create electrical schematics and layouts
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC systems
  • Diagnose electrical and automation issues in the field
  • Support equipment startup, commissioning, and service work
  • Assist with project planning and electrical component selection
  • Maintain safety, organization, and quality standards
  • Help complete projects on time and support field operations

Preferred Experience
  • Industrial electrical and automation experience
  • PLC programming experience
  • (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.)
  • Experience wiring control panels and motor controls
  • Familiarity with VFDs, relays, sensors, and industrial networking
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Up to 50% travel based on project workload
  • Candidate must provide their own tools
