About Us:

IMC Electrical provides electrical installation services for private and public facilities, with experience in multifamily and commercial projects. Headquartered in Northeast Florida, we focus on delivering practical, cost-effective solutions while maintaining solid standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Role Overview:

Responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role works closely with project managers and vendors to support the bidding process while continuing to develop estimating expertise and industry knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope of work
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage
  • Prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
  • Solicit, review, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes
  • Assist in identifying scope gaps, potential risks, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with project teams during pre-bid and post-bid processes
  • Maintain organized and accurate estimate documentation and cost databases
  • Support the development of bid proposals and participate in estimate reviews
  • Stay current with market pricing, materials, and industry standards

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 4+ years of combined experience in electrical construction, electrical estimating, or related roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Experience with estimating and construction management software (e.g., PlanGrid, Procore, Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam) preferred

Capabilities:

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment with little exposure to the elements.
  • Extended use of computer, keyboard and monitors.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.

  • This position is 100% onsite and requires the employee to be physically present at our office in Middleburg, FL during regular business hours.
