Position Summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Infrastructure Electrical Engineering team. This role involves safely energizing equipment, meeting key milestones, and providing commissioning and engineering support. The position will also contribute to the development of maintenance plans and the handover of systems to operational ownership.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Overseeing commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of LV/MV Motor Starters, MCCs, and VFDs.
  • Perform role of Site Subject Matter Expert for Motor Starters, MCCs, and VFDs.
  • Perform Modeling and Analysis of Motor Driven Systems.
  • Ensuring power system uptime and performance.
  • Support area and equipment Handover.
  • Optimization of system settings, Performing alarm management and rationalization of alarms.
  • Development of detailed step plans and SOPs incorporating risk analysis for all device operations.

Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related Engineering field, Electrical or Electronics Engineering highly preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience with medium & high voltage electrical distribution.
  • Knowledgeable in Motor Starters, MCCs, and VFDs, LV/MV Switchgear and it's Protections.
  • Experience in Commissioning, testing, of Motor Starters, MCCs, and VFDs, MV/LV electrical distribution equipment. (Including creation of commissioning procedures etc.)

The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
