Job Title: Material HandlerJob Description

The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting production and maintenance activities by efficiently receiving materials, performing inspections, managing inventory and cycle counts, and preparing kits for use in an industrial environment. This position requires a hands-on, energetic individual who can work independently, handle multiple tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement in a growing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming materials and components, ensuring accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect materials upon receipt to verify quality, condition, and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform inventory management tasks, including regular cycle counting and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Organize, stage, and kit materials for production, maintenance, and construction-related projects.
  • Maintain orderly and clearly labeled storage areas for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and other industrial components.
  • Support troubleshooting activities by ensuring required parts and materials are available when needed.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently within the facility, following all standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other departments to understand material requirements and priorities.
  • Identify and initiate projects to improve material flow, organization, and inventory accuracy in a growing environment.
  • Work effectively in situations with some ambiguity by proactively seeking information and clarifying requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate re-order needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Use basic tools and equipment appropriate for an industrial setting to assist with material handling tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Essential Skills
  • Prior experience in receiving and material handling in an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with inventory management and cycle counting.

  • Hands-on experience with kitting materials for production or maintenance work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
