Job description

SUMMARY:
Responsible for scheduling and supervision of technicians to effectively provide commercial electrical service, repair and installation for customers. In addition this position will oversee logistics, provide technical support, planning and management of service center operations including coordinating with dispatch, technical support, customer service and quality assurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Supervises and delegates service employees, which includes scheduling employees, setting work priorities, organizing and directing work, conducting group meetings, reviewing time sheets, assist in evaluating performance and supervising work assignments to ensure effective operations.
  2. Coordinate with dispatch employees for our Electrical service techs to ensure the appropriate technician is selected based on customer needs.
  3. Provide technical support for the Electrical technicians via e-mail, text, telephone, and/or at job sites.
  4. Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Works with clients to estimate and negotiate projects and create contracts.
  6. Customer relations and assists in payment collections.
  7. Coordinates activities with other MCC Divisions, project managers, and clients.
  8. Observes and enforces all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  9. Performs duties of an electrician when necessary.
  10. Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of these essential duties
  11. Work with and around hazardous materials, as well as at heights and in confined spaces in the performance of these essential duties
  12. Drive a vehicle to various jobsites throughout working hours a. Maintain valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company policy
  13. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  14. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance
  15. Perform other duties as assigned

ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work environment varies from normally a climate-controlled building to a project site that may be in any stage of completion. The project work environment will have exposure to varying outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, toxic chemicals and materials; slippery or uneven walking surfaces
  • May work at heights, such as by working on ladders, scaffolds, platforms, tops of single and multi-story buildings, as well as working in confined spaces such as underneath single story and multi-story buildings
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry/move up to 40lbs
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms
  • May perform manual and repetitive tasks and body movements including bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying
  • Must be able to visit job sites and perform duties with and around hazardous and/or flammable materials, as well as monitor heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Must be able to complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities
  • Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time to perform duties in a safe manner.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Five years Electrical Management related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Electrical trades
  • Good customer service and sales skills
  • Good computer skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients and other employees.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required
  • A current valid driver's license is required
