Electrical Foreman

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Position Summary:

The Foreman is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage electrical systems (typically 600V and above) on industrial, commercial, or utility projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. The Foreman supervises a team of electricians and coordinates with project managers, engineers, and other trades.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a crew of electricians and apprentices in the installation and maintenance of high voltage systems (up to 69kV or more, depending on project).
  • Plan and delegate daily tasks, ensuring jobsite safety and adherence to schedules.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications, standards, and regulations (NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.).
  • Coordinate with other trades and contractors to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and security of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, time, labor, and progress.
  • Provide training and mentoring to crew members, including enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot high voltage systems and perform hands‑on repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and inspectors.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in high voltage electrical work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (varies by location).
  • Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA).
  • Deep understanding of high voltage equipment such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and substations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one‑line diagrams, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing tools and equipment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Valid driver's license; ability to travel to job sites as required
