Job description

Join our team at Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center as a Maintenance Technician on the night shift. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and responding promptly to maintenance requests. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and comfort of our property for guests and staff alike.

Location:  Hueston Woods Lodge, 5201 Lodge Road, College Corner, OH

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

Starting Rate is $15 - $17/hour depending on experience

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • General knowledge in plumbing, electricity, HVAC and carpentry
  • General knowledge of tools used in above tasks.
  • General knowledge of power tools, lawn tools, and
  • Must be able to use paints.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner during the evening shift.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist with set-ups and repairs related to events and conference activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operations as needed.
  • Maintain the grounds around lodge and cabins. 

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Handle general room calls (TV's, lights, plumbing, heating/cooling, etc.).
  • Test and maintain pools.
  • Assist guests and visitors on a daily basis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently during the evening shift.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and operate maintenance equipment.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A willingness to help other departments as time permits.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to lift over 40lbs. repeatedly.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Must be available to work evening shift, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to repeatedly and continuously bend, reach, lift, push, and twist
