Maintenance Helper
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, and basic plumbing and electrical
  • Excellent communication skills in English both oral and written
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions
Responsibilities
  • Regular and predictable attendance to support the needs of the team and the client
  • Maintain light bulbs
  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
  • General office maintenance hang pictures, install keyboard trays, and repair office furniture systems
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Minor repairs to the lawn and grounds of site
  • Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance as assigned
  • Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
  • Assists other operational staff members in repair and maintenance of building equipment
  • Complies with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Attends safety training and complies with safety policies
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
