Intel's Global Construction Engineering (GCE) organization is responsible for the design and engineering of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom facilities worldwide. Our organization consists of highly specialized, in house architects and engineers working in a deeply collaborative environment. This is a hybrid position in Hillsboro, Oregon. Training assignments may be required at other domestic or international locations.
As an Electrical Project Engineer - Global Construction Engineering your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Being consulted for any major construction project related to facilities power systems.
Assess the feasibility of new projects.
Develop more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers from other disciplines.
Serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution during detailed design and construction.
Manage the performance of the Integrators Architectural and Engineering/Owners design.
Act as consultant vendor in their discipline.
Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources.
Interface with facilities staff and project managers to enable facility design efforts for their area of expertise.
Define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, develop design concepts, and oversee completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design.
Work with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met.
Improve standards and drive innovative solutions.
Collaborate and share learnings with their counterparts at other sites across the globe.
Build and drive safety culture of caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 4+ years of experience on design and construction of electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 3+ years of experience on design and construction of electrical power systems.
Focus on industrial, semiconductor, and cleanroom projects.
Professional Engineer status.
Familiarity with:
Reading and interpreting construction contract documents.
1-line diagrams and BIM (3D modeling).
ATEX and EPD requirements.
Power modeling databases such as EasyPower or SLM is preferred.
3+ years of experience in:
Electrical systems such as medium voltage, low voltage, emergency power systems, critical (UPS) power systems, lighting systems, and heat trace systems.
Managing project change control.
Construction, start-up, and commissioning/turnover of electrical facilities systems.
Building and fire codes and hazardous occupancies is preferred.
