Job description

Position Summary
Technical support role in projects supporting testing, fixtures development, and build/test prototypes.
What You'll Do as an Engineering Test Technician
  • Execute tests and collect data using test equipment that measures temperature, electricity, light, flow, pressure, strain, force, distance, time, noise, weight etc.
  • Assists in analyzing equipment failures and factory work stoppage problems
  • Design, Develop, Build, Qualify test fixtures when needed
  • Maintain facility in a safe, clean and orderly manner at all times in compliance with OSHA VPP standards
  • Fabricates, repairs, improves designs and constructs mechanical and electro mechanical equipment
  • Maintains detailed and up to date test data in laboratory note book and active test logs
  • Support Customer escalations, when needed
  • Support manufacturing ramp up, and design transfer during product development

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
  • Two-year Associate Degree or equivalent, apprenticeship or comparable specialized study in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, beyond high school level.
  • Must be able to use drill press, band saw, metal working tools and demonstrate good machine shop practice.
  • Able to operate test equipment that measures temperature, electricity, light, flow, pressure, strain, force, distance, time, noise and weight.
  • Work from prints, sketches, and written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read wiring/electrical and piping schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Piping experience and ability to use electrical test equipment and measuring tools necessary.
  • Proficient in computer use and applications and familiarity with Data Acquisition systems.
  • Travel to Customers and operations sites, including up to 10% internationally.

Preferred:
  • Hands on skills and ability to assemble electromechanical systems.

Pay range for this opportunity is $45,250.00 - $60,250.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
