The College of Engineering & Technology, is seeking a full time faculty member to teach Electrical Engineering for the traditional ground campus.

What you will do:
Equip students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assess student performance and prepare students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
Teach undergraduate courses within the major, mentors and assists undergraduate majors in electrical engineering outside classroom hours.
Assist administration in driving curriculum design & development.
Work with leadership on strategic planning initiatives advancing engineering education.
Develop and administer forward-thinking short- and long-term plans for development and growth.
Assist the University in building a solid foundation for growth of engineering programs.
Foster and promote diversity and collegiality among faculty, students, and staff and is an advocate for change.
Develop and maintain relationships with industry to support internships, project collaborations, industrial mentoring and Capstone projects.
Assist the Dean in developing internal and external communities that promote the major field of study, college, and University.
What you need:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar, from a regionally accredited institution
1-3 years of relevant work experience or higher education teaching experience. An equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education may be substituted.
Semiconductor Fundamentals: Strong grasp of semiconductor physics, device fabrication, materials science, and transport phenomena.
Circuit Design & Analysis: Ability to teach analog/digital circuits, VLSI design, PCB layout, and integrated circuit (IC) design. Ability to teach Electromagnetism is a plus.
Simulation Tools: Proficiency with simulation and design tools such as SPICE, Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, and layout editors.
Fabrication Processes: Experience with cleanroom protocols, photolithography, doping, etching, deposition, and measurement techniques.
Characterization Tools: Familiarity with electron microscopy, ellipsometry, probe stations, and electrical measurement instruments.
Hands-on Laboratory Skills: Ability to design and supervise practical labs, guide students in testing and fabricating devices.
An extensive, advanced and current knowledge of electrical engineering, specifically, in one of the following sub-disciplines - programming, circuits, embedded systems, digital systems or closely related field.
Demonstrated experience in project management, and the ability to work "hands on" with engineering instrumentation and devices.
Working knowledge of Labview, a circuit simulator such as Spice or Multisim, and mathematical software such as MATLAB or equivalent.
Ability to program in a high-level, general-purpose computer languages such as C/C++ and Python.
Ability to articulate a clear understanding of values-based education from a Christian perspective.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Bonus:
Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar, from a regionally accredited institution.
3-5 years of industry experience and computer engineering teaching experience.
Familiarity with higher education, curriculum planning, best teaching and administrative practices; and a record of excellence in teaching.
Understanding of the various methods of adult learning.
