Position: Electrical Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana or Denver, Colorado
Please note: This is a not a remote position.
Day-to-day tasks include, but not limited to the following:
  • Perform the design to meet NEC and all applicable national and local codes. The design deliverable includes but is not limited to lighting and power layout plans, one-line schematic drawings and panel schedules.
  • Perform wiring/cable sizing, equipment sizing and all required calculations to support design.
  • Coordinate and lead the project electrical design team.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, utility, other trades and fellow electrical engineers, designers to design "for permit" and "for construction" electrical package (drawings and technical documents).
  • Manage the design information. Coordinate with project manager to obtain required information and document information received.
  • Review the designs prepared by CAD designer complying with the code, the contract scope of work, project specification, company drafting standards, practices, policies and stop gate procedures etc.
  • Comply project budgets along with schedules to coordinate multidiscipline groups (Such as: HVAC, plumbing design, fire protection, architect, civil, structure etc.)
  • Work with designers and field installation experts to develop installation details to meet project needs.
  • Review project submittals and technical documents.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or above degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • PE license preferred.
  • 5+ years experiences in electrical power distribution and lighting system design for Industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge in electrical power distribution and lighting system design, NEC code and IEEE standards.
  • Highly motivated team player with strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Abilities to work independently, collaborate with electrical design/estimation team, other trades and follow the directive from the team lead.
  • Familiar with SKM or other similar power system study software, AutoCAD, Revit and lighting design software Agi32 is a plus.

Nice to have: Experience in electrical consulting and design of any industry (commercial, pharma, power generation, K-12, industrial, healthcare, etc.)
