We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our First Quality Tissue Division located in Anderson, SC or Lock Haven, PA. Project and Divisional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical and power systems, leading the design and execution of large capital expansion projects. Responsibilities include equipment design, installation, commissioning, start-up, and ongoing operational support to ensure reliability and efficiency across multiple sites, coordinating with local Engineering and Project teams.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Prepares equipment/project scope documents for proposals, installations, startups, and validations.
  • Ensures power and control engineering detail design is in accordance with FQT project needs, facilitate purchasing equipment, review electrical/control designs and applications, participate in energy efficient design, develop, and maintain project schedules.
  • Lead and participate in commissioning activities to ensure successful start-up and provide ongoing support to maintain optimal performance post-launch. "Follows written procedures and guidelines; possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual able to complete multiple tasks in short time frames and works well with others under time pressures.
  • Mentors and influences representatives from a variety of functional groups including engineering, maintenance, operations, across multiple site locations.
  • Identifies machine, material and/or process improvements and implement solutions.
  • May be exposed to high noise environments.
  • May be exposed to dust during certain tasks.
  • May be exposed to heights
  • Other activities as requested
  • Production site including but not limited to: office area, manufacturing floor, power distribution areas onsite

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment (7-10+ years).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical/Engineering Field; BSEE preferred.
  • Will consider 15+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Previous Project Management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • A background with the National Electrical Code [NEC] NFPA 70 and 70E and National Electrical Safety Code
  • Experience with high and low voltage power distribution systems, motor control centers and general power distribution. Experience with Variable Speed Drives [VFD], motors and cabling systems, including sizing cables.
  • Experience with ABB coordinated drives line ups and Siemens MV drives a plus.
  • Previous industrial and general plant experience, including paper manufacturing or continuous processes a plus.
  • Familiarity with DCS and PLC controls a plus
  • Industrial power distribution design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Proven experience supporting/managing large capital projects, including budgetary responsibilities.
  • Exceptional analytical problem solving, equipment vendor management skills, and strong computer skills.
