Windsor Hospitality is seeking a dependable and hands-on Engineer / Groundskeeper to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the hotel — both interior and exterior — using hand tools and power tools, while ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for guests and associates. You will uphold Windsor Hospitality’s brand standards and core values — Growth, Resourcefulness, Integrity, and Teamwork (GRIT) — in every aspect of your work.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Maintain the hotel by performing routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities using hand tools and power tools.
  • Replace air conditioner filters and perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Tend to furnace, air conditioner, and boiler systems as needed to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
  • Notify management of the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Respond promptly to work requests from hotel guests and senior management within the required timeframe; document all requests and actions taken.
  • Execute assigned tasks, projects, or programs as directed by Engineering management, ensuring completion competently and within the given timeframe.
  • Maintain uniform and name badge standards at all times while working on property.
  • Support and adhere to Windsor Hospitality’s core values, mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy.


SKILLS & ABILITIES YOU BRING

  • Ability to read, understand, and apply specifications, work orders, and technical instructions.
  • Manual dexterity to use hands, arms, and fingers effectively with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work to precise measurements and inspect work to ensure it conforms to requirements.
  • Spatial reasoning to visualize how a finished repair or installation will look or function.
  • Basic arithmetic skills to measure materials, calculate quantities, and verify product specifications.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials and equipment as required by the work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Prior experience in hotel maintenance, facilities, or a related trade preferred.
