THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION, LOCATED IN WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA

Chance Aluminum, based in Williamsport, PA, focuses on aluminum production as the domestic supplier for AA Metals, a Florida-based master distributor with global operations in the United States, Colombia, Turkey, and China. We are a safety-focused, industrial manufacturing facility looking to expand our team of dedicated, goal-driven individuals.

Electrical Engineer Summary:
Chance Aluminum is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role will play a crucial role in the development and installation of new electrical equipment on our mills. You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to ensure the efficient and effective integration of electrical systems into our manufacturing processes.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for new equipment installations on our mills, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and specifications for electrical equipment, considering factors such as efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed electrical projects, providing recommendations for optimal solutions.
  • Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for equipment installation and maintenance purposes.
  • Procure necessary electrical components and materials, coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the process.
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans for electrical equipment, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technologies and industry best practices, recommending innovative solutions for process improvement.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance within the organization.

Electrical Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working with aluminum rolling mills preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the design and installation of industrial electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design and drafting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with PLC programming, motor control systems, and power distribution networks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Professional engineering license (PE) is a plus.
