Job Description Summary Our Cary, NC office is looking for a talented, Lead Electrical Engineer. The Lead Electrical Engineer manages electrical engineering activities within the organization. Implements and maintains policies and procedures for designing, performing calculations and details for installing electrical systems.

Responsible for reviewing and approving new or revised designs, or installation procedures. Ensure engineering projects are properly staffed, and milestones are achieved Key Responsibilities Strong understanding of engineering lifecycles related to electrical deliverables. Work directly and effectively with project lead engineers and other MEP disciplines to design electrical systems for Biotech and Pharmaceutical clients.

Understand switchgear design, low, medium, and high voltage, single line diagrams, line, etc. Develop technical specifications and layouts while working in tandem with project managers and engineers across multiple disciplines. Identify deliverables, define requirements, create detailed design drawings and plans for electrical systems.

Develop electrical layout including the size of electrical equipment on floor plans. Ensure all electrical projects adhere to quality standards. Interact and present to contractors, clients and internal team.

Provides guidance and professional development to a team of engineers. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
