Sunrise Engineering is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Electrical Design group and work in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. Make a Lasting Impact

An Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) provides both strategic and operational support to service center managers throughout the organization. We are looking for candidates who are:

Detail-oriented and collaborative designers. Our engineers design, review, and update electrical construction drawings for projects that may range from water and wastewater to land development and industrial process applications, depending on the needs of the Service Center. They occasionally accompany project managers for field surveys or inspections and provide support in the design of electrical projects. They may also conduct studies and prepare written reports for clients.

Creative problem solvers. Depending on the project, they may work individually or participate as part of a team on larger-scale efforts, and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Business-minded contributors. They also assist in business development efforts and may help prepare statements of qualifications and proposals for potential clients.

Certified and Experienced. For this role, we are looking for those with an interest in pursuing a career in electrical engineering, specifically industrial applications or electrical power systems.  Having a completed four-year electrical engineering degree, CAD experience, good verbal and written communication skills, and 0-5 years of experience working in Electrical Engineering will make you a strong candidate. Preferred candidates will have experience of managing projects, managing teams, and modeling in Revit.
