Job description

Electrical Engineer
The Opportunity:
As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to conducting large-scale energy assessments across large installations supporting critical missions. We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to enhance how multi-million-dollar energy infrastructure investments are made across the Department of War, ensuring leaders have clear, engineering-driven guidance on how best to improve mission resilience.
At Booz Allen, you'll use your engineering skills to transform the Department of War. Our team is at the forefront of delivering cutting edge energy resilience solutions to customers who rely on their systems 24/7 to ensure our national security. That's why we need an electrical engineer like you that specializes in power systems and critical mission needs, and can communicate that knowledge within interdisciplinary teams to help us design and develop the next generation of large-scale energy solutions within the Department of War.
On our team, you'll dissect vulnerabilities in large-scale energy systems. You'll impact defense energy by assessing in-place infrastructure and developing solutions that increase resiliency across an installation. This is a chance to use your knowledge of complex power systems while gaining hands-on experience in critical power system design.
Take on exciting challenges in Department of War with us as we support their goal of providing resilient energy systems to the warfighter.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience analyzing energy infrastructure, including electrical distribution systems
  • Experience conducting on-site stakeholder engagements to gather technical energy requirements, and translating complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable information for non-technical clients
  • Knowledge of power systems design, including power generation assets, microgrids, and battery energy storage systems
  • Ability to leverage electrical modeling software such as EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM, to generate data and content for technical reports
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience leading site visits or interviews at government-owned sites
  • Experience designing, building, installing, or maintaining electrical equipment
  • Experience working with the Department of War in government or contractor roles and supporting GS-14 or GS-15 level clients
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or PE License

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Our offerings include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Our recognition awards program acknowledges employees for exceptional performance and superior demonstration of our values.
