Job description

Electrical Engineer – Industrial Environment (Power Systems)

Overview
The Electrical Engineer supports the design, maintenance, and reliability of power distribution systems within a heavy industrial environment. This role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of low and medium voltage electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot low and medium voltage power distribution systems
  • Support and maintain electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and protective relays
  • Perform arc flash studies and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
  • Lead or support power system upgrades, expansions, and capital projects
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve electrical issues and reduce downtime

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with industrial power systems (low and medium voltage)
  • Familiarity with switchgear, protective relaying, and power distribution equipment
  • Knowledge of arc flash analysis and electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E)
  • Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments preferred
