Job description

Senior Electrical Engineer - Substation

We are seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join a client’s team of substation engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of substation design, protection and control, and electrical engineering. Experience working in a substation environment is essential.

The primary responsibility of this position is to design, install, and maintain substations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Designing substation layouts and electrical systems
  • Installing and testing substation equipment
  • Maintaining substation equipment
  • Troubleshooting substation problems
  • Working with other engineers and technicians to ensure the smooth operation of the substation

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 7+ years of experience working in a substation environment
  • Strong understanding of substation design, protection and control, and electrical engineering
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
