The Role
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. This position will support the Frigate Ship Design Team and will report to the Frigate Ship Design Manager. The position requires the ability to provide broad program technical direction and report on the associated engineering efforts. Significant interaction with program management and customer organizations supporting the Frigate execution is expected. Requires a broad grasp of the Frigate program and ship design issues and related practices and procedures. Advanced level of understanding in a specialized field or general understanding of several diverse disciplines is necessary. Assure technical adequacy, accuracy, and quality of engineering products developed. Supports the review of engineering products developed under area of responsibility. Act as an advisor to the SDM to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
Must Have
9 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 7 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a PhD.
Nice to Have
A MS in Engineering and/or professional registration with 6 years of relevant experience are preferred.
