Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead a team that's making a real impact on the built environment?

We're partnering with a well-established and growing consulting engineering firm that's looking for an experienced Team Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the continued growth of their electrical division. This is more than just a technical leadership role—it's an opportunity to influence projects, mentor the next generation of engineers, strengthen client relationships, and help shape the future direction of the team.

If you're passionate about engineering, enjoy collaborating with clients and colleagues, and thrive in an environment where your ideas are valued, we'd love to connect.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key leader within the organization, you will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of diverse electrical building projects from concept through construction.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a talented team of engineers and designers.
  • Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation to ensure exceptional quality.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Conduct site visits, attend client meetings, and provide construction-phase support including contract administration and shop drawing reviews.
  • Help recruit, develop, and grow the electrical team while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 10+ years of consulting engineering experience within the building services industry.
  • Strong expertise in electrical building systems including power distribution, lighting, life safety, emergency power, and associated building systems.
  • Proven experience leading projects and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Points For

  • P.Eng. designation.
  • Experience delivering healthcare, institutional, commercial, or multi-residential projects.
  • Business development experience, proposal writing, or contributing to strategic growth initiatives.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Be part of a respected, growing consulting engineering firm where your leadership truly matters.
  • Lead exciting and technically challenging projects across a diverse portfolio.
  • Enjoy the perfect balance of technical design work and people leadership.
  • Work alongside a collaborative, supportive team that values innovation, mentorship, and professional growth.
  • Clear opportunities for advancement into senior leadership.
  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a culture that supports work-life balance.

Hybrid Work Environment: This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule, with two days working remotely and three days in the office each week, allowing you to stay connected with your team while enjoying greater flexibility.
