Electrical Engineer

Houston, TX

Role Purpose

To own electrical engineering decisions for fully integrated modular solutions involving medium voltage, low voltage systems, switchgear, relay panels, MCCs, UPS systems, protection schemes, and data center power infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review single line diagrams, schematics, control wiring, and protection philosophy
  • Support design of MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, relay panels, and packaged substations
  • Perform load calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination, and equipment selection
  • Interface with customer specifications and utility requirements
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, ANSI, UL891, UL508A, and project standards
  • Support FAT, SAT, commissioning documentation, and technical clarifications
  • Coordinate with structural and mechanical teams for equipment integration
  • Review vendor drawings and support procurement alignment
  • Participate in site technical decisions and customer discussions

Required Experience

  • 12+ years in industrial electrical systems / substations / modular electrical buildings
  • Experience in data center electrical systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of switchgear, protection systems, and power distribution
