Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer with experience in electronic hardware design and integration to support the development and integration of advanced directed energy and vehicle-based systems. This role will be focused on electronic circuit design, layout of Printed Circuit Boards, and cable/harness design and layout for new designs and fielded systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to grow their experience across the full system lifecycle. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on integration, troubleshooting, and working across hardware, firmware, and mechanical interfaces.

What You'll Do

Take design concepts from block diagram or requirements level to development of complete hardware designs.

Design and layout complex cables and harnesses

Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts

Support system integration, test, and troubleshooting in lab and field environments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, systems, software)

Participate in design reviews, integration events, and test activities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field

5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or system integration

Experience in design of digital/analog/mixed signal electronics, component selection, and interface/communication standards

Experience designing cable and harness assemblies

Experience in PCB design and troubleshooting

Experience with test equipment in lab environments

U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Altium Designer

Experience with GIT or other version control systems

Experience with embedded system design

Experience with programming languages (C/C++, Python, MATLAB, etc.)

Familiarity with embedded interfaces (CAN, RS-485, analog/digital I/O, filters)

Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-2220, IPC-JSTD-001)

Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD-1275, 461, 810)

Familiarity with military connectors (e.g., D38999) and cable/harness design/integration
