Job description

Infinigen Renewables is a Puerto Rico based, ArcLight Capital backed platform, focused on utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) solar projects. The platform includes a dedicated operating and asset management team positioned to develop, build and operate renewable opportunities in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

A Solar Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in all aspects of solar projects, including project planning, budgeting, construction management, and reporting. They work on tasks like coordinating project activities, managing resources, ensuring milestones are met, and contributing to the successful delivery of solar installations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Assist with developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordination & Communication: Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other team members, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Contract Administration: Assist with contract negotiations, change order management, and documentation.
  • Financial Management: Track project costs, monitor budgets, and assist with financial reporting.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety & Security: Ensure all project activities are conducted safely and comply with company policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, prepare reports, and update stakeholders on project status.

Specific Tasks:

  • Reviewing design documents.
  • Managing project documents and submittals.
  • Handling requests for information (RFIs).
  • Preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Conducting trade pre-construction meetings.
  • Coordinating permit inspections.
  • Maintaining subcontractor relationships.
  • Assisting with estimating and bidding.
  • Managing project assets.
  • Enforcing company bonding and insurance policies.
  • Managing the change order process.
  • Developing bid packages.
  • Developing schedules.
  • Developing site utilization plans.
  • Conducting pre-bid conferences.
  • Mentoring and providing direction to staff.
  • Administering document control and RFI processes.
  • Preparing monthly reports and correspondence.
  • Managing Loss Control (Safety) Program.
  • Reviewing subcontractor applications for payment.
  • Approving material and subcontract invoices for payment.
  • Initiating and executing progress payments to the owner.
  • Tracking job costs and predicting monthly revenue streams.
  • Managing QA/QC on projects.
  • Reviewing general conditions costs on a monthly basis.
  • Establishing and maintaining job cost control.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience as Assistant Project Manager
