Job description

Mentor Technical Group (MTG) provides a comprehensive portfolio of technical support and solutions for the FDA-regulated industry. As a world leader in life science engineering and technical solutions, MTG has the knowledge and experience to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device safety and efficacy guidelines. With offices in Caguas, Puerto Rico, and Boston, United States, we serve life sciences clients in six global markets: United States, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Germany, Canada, and South America.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and FDA regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and production personnel to ensure electrical systems support operational requirements efficiently.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures or deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, schematics, and records of electrical systems, maintenance, and modifications.
  • Support validation and qualification activities for electrical equipment in regulated environments.
  • Participate in audits and inspections, providing technical support and evidence of compliance.

Qualifications / Requirements / Knowledge / Education / Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in electrical engineering, maintenance, or project support, preferably in FDA-regulated or life sciences environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Understanding of GMP, FDA regulations, and quality systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience with CAD, electrical schematics, and preventive maintenance planning.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
