Location: Chandler, AZ (Fully Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Overview
We are seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to support a high-tech semiconductor manufacturing site in Chandler, AZ. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical electrical infrastructure that supports manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on engineering role within a fast-paced, high-uptime environment, ideal for someone with experience supporting industrial or mission-critical facilities.
Responsibilities
  • Design, operate, and maintain electrical distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and generators
  • Ensure consistent and reliable power delivery to critical manufacturing equipment
  • Perform root cause analysis for electrical system issues and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Plan and support electrical system upgrades, expansions, and capital projects
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards (NEC, NFPA, OSHA)
  • Support equipment with strict power quality and uptime requirements
  • Monitor and analyze system performance using SCADA, BMS, or EMS tools
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support emergency response efforts
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3-8+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of power distribution systems
  • Experience with substations, UPS systems, generators, and power quality
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards (NEC, NFPA, OSHA)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in semiconductor or cleanroom environments
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward certification
  • Experience in mission-critical or high-availability environments
  • Familiarity with building management systems (BMS), SCADA, or energy management systems
