Job description

Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join Lyons Electric, a subsidiary company of Potawatomi Ventures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing electrical systems and schematics for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
  • Create and update schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and circuit designs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to define project requirements and timelines.
  • Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and other electrical engineering tasks.
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEC, and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure integrated design.
  • Support construction and installation teams with technical documentation and field support.
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback and site conditions.

Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Design, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
