Job description

Services are required for an Electrical Designer to work in the Y-12 Division Managed Design Engineering Field Design Support group. Responsibilities/skills include:

Drafting in Bentley MicroStation:
One-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, installation details, Instrumentation and Controls Diagrams, conduit/cable schedules, fire alarm and communication drawings
Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution and industrial control systems
Experience with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A
Preparing data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports
Work in concert with an electrical engineers and other CAD drafters from the same work group

Must be able to support construction and operational activities related to design outputs. Field walkdowns will be required sometimes in radiological contaminated areas. The ability to obtain a Q-clearance will be required. Little to no (<5%) travel is expected. Typical work schedule will be Mon.-Thur. 10-hour days (4/10 schedule)
