Electrical Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA - Bay Area About the Role

Stillpoint AEC is partnering with a highly respected engineering consulting firm to identify an Electrical Engineer for its San Francisco office. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a firm recognized for delivering innovative engineering solutions across the commercial, power, utility, industrial, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

The Electrical Engineer will support the design, analysis, and execution of electrical engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure and industrial facilities. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong experience who enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with clients, and contributing to projects that support critical infrastructure and energy systems throughout California and across the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze electrical power distribution systems for utility, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
  • Perform power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and load flow analysis
  • Support medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical system design efforts
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and technical execution activities
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, and facility assessments as required
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for quality and compliance
  • Support projects from conceptual design through construction and commissioning phases
  • Assist with mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development initiatives
  • Contribute to client relationship management and business development efforts as opportunities arise
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Current experience in electrical engineering within a consulting engineering environment
  • PE preferred
  • Candidates actively pursuing PE licensure or possessing strong relevant experience will also be considered - EIT
  • Experience with power distribution, industrial facilities, utility infrastructure, or energy-related projects preferred
  • Experience performing electrical studies using SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar software preferred
  • Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable industry standards
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering design platforms preferredStrong communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
