Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Vice President of Operations โ€“ Electrical Construction to provide executive leadership and operational oversight for a growing electrical construction organization in the Jacksonville, Florida market.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an accomplished electrical construction executive with a proven ability to lead operations, develop teams, improve project performance, and drive profitable growth across a significant portfolio of work.

The ideal candidate combines deep electrical construction knowledge with strong business and operational leadership. This individual will be responsible for developing people, strengthening operational processes, managing financial performance, and ensuring projects consistently meet expectations for safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for electrical construction operations.
  • Lead and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and other operational leaders.
  • Oversee the performance of multiple electrical construction projects and project teams.
  • Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, scheduling, labor productivity, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain executive-level visibility into project budgets, forecasting, backlog, margins, cash flow, change management, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Conduct regular operational and financial reviews to identify project risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with estimating and preconstruction leadership to evaluate pursuits, project risk, staffing requirements, and operational strategy.
  • Develop workforce and leadership plans to support current backlog and future growth.
  • Establish consistent operational processes, expectations, and accountability across project teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, engineers, and strategic clients.
  • Support major contract negotiations, project pursuits, and resolution of significant operational or contractual issues.
  • Mentor and develop future operational leaders while strengthening succession planning throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, market growth, organizational development, and long-term business objectives.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the electrical construction industry.
  • Significant experience leading electrical construction operations, major projects, a regional operation, or a substantial portfolio of work.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction from preconstruction through project execution and closeout.
  • Proven experience leading Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field/project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, labor productivity, change management, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing operational teams.
  • Experience managing large commercial, mission-critical, data center, healthcare, industrial, or similarly complex electrical construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of manpower planning, procurement, scheduling, project controls, and operational risk.
  • Excellent executive-level communication, negotiation, client relationship, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on visibility into project and operational performance.
