Job Description

Automation systems company in the Atlanta metro area needs an Electrical Controls Engineer.

  • Using your knowledge of EPLAN (preferred but not required), you will work on the with cross-functional teams to develop control system architectures for material handling equipment and robotic applications.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure the manufacturing of electrical cabinets adheres to NEC (NFPA70), UL508/UL508A, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Generate documentation for subsystems including the electrical cabinets.
  • Design and program Safety PLCs, HMIs, and/or motion control systems.

This client is only considering people who have permanent work authorization in the United States and will not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. I have no job openings for which visa sponsorship is available.

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
    • Five years of experience in robotics, industrial automation, or electrical controls engineering.
    • Experience with industrial electrical design and PLC programming with Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, or Siemens controls.
    • Proficiency with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, TCP/IP, MODBUS, IO-Link
    • Position requires some travel to domestic customer sites about 20-30%
