Job description

Job Overview:
  • The Electrical Engineering role is responsible for creating and supporting printed circuit board (PCB) layouts based on electrical schematics and design requirements. 
  • The role involves developing fabrication and assembly documentation, ensuring design compliance, supporting cross-functional engineering collaboration, and improving design robustness for digital, analog, power, RF, and mixed-signal systems.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High school diploma with approximately 6 years of PCB design experience, or associate degree with 4 years, or bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Experience creating PCB layouts using Siemens Xpedition software.
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics and engineering documentation.
  • Understanding of fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and IPC standards.
  • Strong understanding of PCB design rules and constraints.

Experience:

  • Experience in PCB layout design and printed circuit board development.
  • Experience working with electrical engineering teams on design and implementation.
  • Experience supporting component placement, routing strategies, and signal integrity considerations.
  • Experience collaborating with mechanical engineering teams for system integration.
  • Experience participating in design reviews and implementing feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Create PCB layouts based on electrical schematics and design requirements.
  • Develop and maintain fabrication and assembly documentation including drawings and stackups.
  • Perform design rule checks and participate in design reviews.
  • Coordinate with mechanical engineering teams for system integration.
  • Support component placement and routing strategies for complex circuit designs.
  • Ensure signal integrity for digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal systems.
  • Implement engineering feedback to improve design quality and reduce production risk.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and design specifications.

Should Have:

  • Experience with Siemens EDM, Valor NPI, and BluePrint PCB tools.
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro PCB software.
  • Experience in high-speed digital design including impedance control and differential pair routing.
  • Experience with multilayer PCB design for RF and mixed-signal applications.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and fabrication vendors.
  • Knowledge of DFM and DFT principles.
  • Experience with PLM systems and configuration management.
  • IPC CID/CID+ certification preferred.
