Job description

Position Overview

Glassco is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial glazing projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction project management while working closely with experienced Project Managers, Estimators, Foremen, and field crews.

The Assistant Project Manager will help ensure projects are properly coordinated from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong focus on organization, communication, and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and documentation
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and material tracking
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
  • Help coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding materials and lead times
  • Track project costs, labor, and production in coordination with management
  • Participate in jobsite meetings and communicate updates to internal teams
  • Assist with project closeout documentation, including warranties and as-builts
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation systems

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in construction, glazing, or a related trade preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across field and office teams
  • Willingness to learn glazing systems, materials, and installation methods

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Primarily office-based with periodic jobsite visits
  • Ability to travel to local job sites as needed
  • Must be able to work standard first-shift hours
