What You'll Do

As an Apprentice Refrigeration Install Technician, you'll work alongside experienced installation technicians and learn the skills needed to become a highly qualified refrigeration professional.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the installation of commercial refrigeration systems and equipment
  • Learn to install refrigeration piping, components, controls, and electrical connections
  • Assist with setting equipment, condensers, evaporators, walk-in coolers/freezers, and related systems
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Learn to read equipment manuals, installation instructions, and basic mechanical drawings
  • Assist with pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system start-up
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
