Overview
Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with 80 years of proven performance. CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories.
The Sr. Electrical Integration Engineer is responsible for complex design, integration, and implementation of electrical control cabinets, power distribution systems, and interconnect wiring. This individual will use their expertise & leadership to develop electrical schematics, plan power routing, select components, and ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards while supporting manufacturing, testing, and field deployment.
Responsibilities
  • Design & validate electrical control cabinets, junction boxes, and power distribution panels
  • Develop wiring diagrams, schematics, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules
  • Create power routing layouts for AC and DC systems
  • Size and select circuit protection devices, power supplies, relays, terminal blocks, and wiring components
  • Integrate electrical equipment with PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and industrial networks
  • Drive coordination with mechanical, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure proper cabinet layout and cable routing.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and verify power distribution requirements
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and installation work instructions
  • Support, assembly, system integration, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IPC 620 and applicable customer standards
  • Rapidly recognizes design problems and errors and takes corrective action
  • Monitor the progress of designed devices, components or systems to ensure that technical problems are solved
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts related to electrical design standards and manufacturing efficiency
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to other Electrical Integration Engineers

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience designing electrical cabinets or industrial control systems
  • Extensive experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar electrical CAD tools
  • Advanced proficiency in developing wiring diagrams and power distribution schematics
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and low-voltage power systems
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC, IPC 620 and electrical safety requirements
  • Travel may be required to support site installations
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead, design authority, or subject matter expert for electrical integration efforts
  • Selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. Government throughout the course of their employment.

Pay may range from $120,000 to $158,000 annually
The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). OSI also offers comprehensive benefits including various options for health plans, access to 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account, disability insurance, life insurance, AD&D insurance, leave of absence programs and an array of voluntary benefits. In addition, paid time off is offered to be used for vacation, holidays, bereavement, and jury duty. Full-Time salaried employees are entitled to flexible time-off.
