Job description

Electrical CAD Designer

Location: Fully Remote / Houston, TX

*Candidates living in the US and already authorized to work will be considered*

Rate: $30-45hr.

Duration: Contract, 6+ months

Qualifications / Skills

  1. AutoCAD experience required
    1. Autodesk Forma (formerly Docs) experience preferred
  2. Elecdes experience required
  3. Can create and modify detailed 2D and 3D electrical drawings, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, schematics and cable and conduit schedules.
  4. Can develop 3D models of electrical equipment and facility layouts.
  5. Assists with redlines, drawing updates, and document control processes.
  6. Understands electrical symbols, schematics, PLCs, control systems, panel design, hazardous area, and grounding.
  7. Proactive communication with all disciplines
  8. Willingness and desire to learn
  9. Oil and Gas and/or Power sector project background preferred
  10. Duration: 6+ months
  11. Location: open to full remote, could do hybrid if it happens to align with one of our office locations
  12. Laptop/equipment provided for assignment
  13. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
  14. 3-10 years experience range preferred
