Job description

We are looking for a talented in-shop Electric Vehicle Technician to join our Distribution business in Albany, NY. 

Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM

$5000.00 Sign on Bonus

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Applies documented procedures and policies to perform basic repairs and scheduled maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Utilizes Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and follows all documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance based on assessments of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) units.
  • Completes required documentation, including service reports and related records.
  • Demonstrates effective use and understanding of service repair manuals to support daily tasks.
  • Assists with Battery Electric Vehicle system and component disassembly using proper tools and equipment.
  • Cleans and inspects parts and components for visible damage or wear, reporting findings to the Supervisor.
  • Completes required training in alignment with skill development and business needs.
  • Maintains work areas and tools to ensure cleanliness, proper storage, and safe operation.
  • Adheres to all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Quality policies, procedures, and regulations, reporting any issues or incidents to the Supervisor.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electric vehicles.
  • Knowledge of EV operation and EV safety practices.
  • ASE EV certifications (preferred).
  • Experience using Accelera software (preferred).

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Electrical Technician (Preferred).
Certificate of secondary education or Vocational Diploma equivalent/ Trade Certificate or equivalent experience (Preferred).
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
May require relevant electrical certification.

Experience:

Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with Battery Electric Vehicle products.
High voltage/Low voltage practical experience preferred.
