Job Description:
  • Looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Exterior Design/Release Engineer to join our growing team.
  • The DRE will be responsible for design and development of the exterior components and related structures across the organization.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Be an integral part of an energetic team that's challenging the status quo of vehicle design.
  • Responsible for the design and development of exterior components and assemblies.
  • Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
  • Manage all aspects of exterior component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
  • Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • 8+ years of vehicle design experience in the areas of interior and/or exterior trim.
  • Knowledge of design considerations required for plastic/composite components.
  • Excellent communication and team building skills.
  • Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to exterior components.
  • Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast paced environment
