Job Type: Full Time, Hourly

Location: Onsite at 8520 Hollander Drive, Franksville, WI 53126

Expected Hours of Work: Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM

Reports to: Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

In addition, we are the largest pump service organization in the upper Midwest. Electric Pump is comprised of eight locations in seven states with approximately 140 employees. Starnet Technologies was founded in 1995 to provide services and support to the Water and Wastewater industries. Starnet has since expanded to provide: engineering, proposals, estimates, custom CAD drawings, programming, system integration, manufacturing of custom & standard controls, and field services. In December 2015, Electric Pump acquired Starnet Technologies.

Job Summary

The Electrician would be responsible for physically assembling and wiring electrical control panels. This position would also be responsible for start up of the electrical control panels.

Essential Functions

1.     Commercial wiring work in a manufacturing environment

2.     Aiding in construction of building - installing siding, trim work, hanging doors, and other associated tasks

3.     Running, bending, and hanging conduit

4.     Pulling wire

5.     Installing boxes

6.     Making terminations

7.     Support installation of new control panels

8.     Wiring generators and control panels

9.     Material handling

 

Competencies

  1. Basic electrical knowledge preferably in a manufacturing environment - including how to read plans and specifications
  2. Knowledge of NEC Code
  3. Knowledge of how to use basic hand tools such as hammer, drills, and various saws
  4. Knowledge of how to use and read levels and tape measure
  5. Problem Solving/Analysis
  6. Strong Communication Skills
  7. Flexibility

  9. Detail oriented

 

Work Environment
This job operates in a typical shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is also frequent use of power tools, including saws, and forklift. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. 

 

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience required. Post-secondary education or trade school; Journeyman Electrician is preferred but not required.
