Description:

We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This role is focused on prospecting and lead generation for assigned sales territory supporting the growth of our Overhead Crane & Hoist Sales and Service and Electric Motor Sales and Service divisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and driving sales growth through strategic outreach and solutionbased selling.

Prospecting & Lead Generation 

  • Identify and qualify potential clients with a focus on companies requiring hoist and crane inspections and repairs, electric motor service, and predictive maintenance solutions.   
  • Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to generate new business opportunities, utilizing cold calling, email campaigns, networking, industry events, and referrals 

Sales & Business Development 

  • Manage the sales process from initial contact to negotiation and closing.   
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target industries.  
  • Collaborate with the internal team to tailor service offerings that meet client needs and provide value-added solutions 

Market Intelligence 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the industrial space. 
  • Conduct market research to identify new potential clients, opportunities for expansion, and potential threats in the marketplace. 

Client Retention & Account Management 

  • Work Closely with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, drive repeat business, and generate additional opportunities. 
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that client expectations are consistently met. 

Proposal development & Presentations 

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotes to prospective clients. 
  • Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to ensure the proposed solutions align with the client’s needs. 

Reporting & Metrics 

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM. 
  • Provide regular reports on lead generation progress, sales pipeline, and conversion rates to senior leadership. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.   
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.   
  • Ability to identify customer pain points and propose appropriate solutions.   
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
