Job description

Direct Counsel represents a prestigious AmLaw firm seeking a Senior Environment & Energy Associate with 6–9 years of experience to join its nationally recognized energy regulatory practice.

Location

Multiple U.S. office locations available

Qualifications
  • 6–9 years of experience advising clients on electric power regulatory matters
  • Experience handling matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
  • Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
  • Experience with administrative litigation and regulatory proceedings
  • Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with teams and clients
  • Excellent academic credentials and client service orientation
Responsibilities
  • Advise energy industry clients on complex electric power regulatory issues
  • Represent clients in proceedings before FERC
  • Draft motions, briefs, regulatory filings, and client advisories
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic regulatory counseling
  • Work directly with clients and assume significant responsibility for matter management
Compensation
  • $350,000 – $415,000 base salary, depending on experience
