Election Manager information

What does an election manager do?

An Election Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of elections within a specific jurisdiction. Their duties include coordinating polling locations, managing staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with election laws, and handling ballots and voting equipment. They also address any issues that arise on election day and work to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. Effective communication and attention to detail are essential skills for this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an election manager?

To thrive as an Election Manager, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of election laws and procedures, often supported by a degree in public administration or a related field. Familiarity with voter registration databases, election management systems, and compliance software is typically required. Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities help manage staff, coordinate logistics, and address issues under pressure. These skills ensure the smooth, lawful, and transparent administration of elections, maintaining public trust in the electoral process.

What are some common challenges faced by election managers during an election cycle?

Election Managers often face challenges such as coordinating large teams of temporary staff, ensuring compliance with complex election laws, and managing logistical hurdles like setting up polling stations and distributing materials. They must also address unexpected issues on election day, such as equipment malfunctions or high voter turnout, while maintaining transparency and public trust. Effective communication and adaptability are key to successfully navigating these challenges and ensuring a smooth, fair election process.

Job description

About LearnLux

LearnLux is the leading provider of workplace financial wellbeing, blending fiduciary digital planning with access to one-on-one guidance from Certified Financial Plannerprofessionals. Our award-winning program helps employees navigate critical financial decisions from budgeting and benefits elections to equity compensation, home buying, and retirement so they can feel confident about their money and focused at work. Advanced reporting helps our partners understand impact, driving outcomes like reduced financial stress, increased productivity, and improved retention.

We're building LearnLux with intention. We move quickly, operate with a high bar for quality, and value people who take ownership of their work. If you're energized by solving new problems, taking accountability, and pushing yourself to do your best work every day, you'll find this a rewarding environment.

We're a venture-backed company that has raised over $35M to date and is supported by experienced investors and long-term partners. We're a growth-focused business building for scale, and we're excited by the opportunities and challenges that come with that journey.

The Role

At LearnLux, first impressions aren't just important - they set the tone for a client relationship that can last years. We're looking for a Sr. Manager, Client Implementations, who thrives on turning "we just signed a contract" into "this is the smoothest launch we've ever had."

You will partner with Sales to understand and help to shape a deal before it is even signed. Once the ink dries on a signed contract, you become the face of LearnLux for a portfolio of employer clients; building trust with HR and Benefits leaders, orchestrating flawless global rollouts, and setting the stage for a program employees genuinely love using.

You won't deliver alone and are backed by a team of LearnLux professionals across marketing, Client Success, Engineering/Development, Product and Tech so we ensure we meet our client's needs.

If you get a thrill from organized chaos, love owning a room (virtual or otherwise), and want your fingerprints on how a fast-growing company scales its implementation program, keep reading.

What you'll do
  • Launch clients like a pro. Be the go-to person guiding US and global clients from pre-contract to confident go-live. You will build and evolve the playbooks, tools, and workflows that make onboarding feel effortless - for clients and for your future teammates.
  • Run the project, not just the checklist. You own this program. Kickoff calls, SSO and eligibility file setup, platform configurations, milestone tracking, client task management and communication. The Client Success Manager who will own the account after launch will be alongside you so that they have the context necessary for a smooth transition.
  • Be the advisor clients actually want on speed dial. Help HR and Benefits leaders keep track of their action items and collaborate to build engagement and communication strategies that drive utilization after the program launches. You will partner to design campaigns, coordinate webinars, and show up (sometimes physically) to get employees genuinely excited about their benefit.
  • Organization. There will be multiple programs at different stages of implementation across many clients happening simultaneously. It is critical that everyone (including the client) knows where the program is at all times and what is coming next.
  • Collaborate widely. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, Client Success, Product, Marketing, Engineering and our Financial Planning teams to make sure client needs never get lost in translation.
You should bring
  • 7+ years with hands on implementation experience bonus points if it had lead global implementations and you did it at a high-growth or startup environment where you had to build the plane while flying it
  • Real experience in the employee benefits industry
  • A track record of managing global client relationships with the cultural fluency to match
  • A natural relationship-builder who can earn trust with stakeholders at every level
  • Project management chops - you keep multiple complex launches on track without breaking a sweat
  • A comfort with data - Excel/Sheets fluency and the ability to turn numbers into a story
  • Sharp written and verbal communication in English
  • An eye for detail that borders on delightful perfectionism
  • Leverage AI to the fullest and then refine to customize and polish
LearnLux is a fit for you if you
  • Thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy building in moments of change. We operate with urgency, and roles, priorities, and approaches evolve as we grow.
  • Like wearing multiple hats and helping define the path forward. At LearnLux, roles evolve as we grow, and employees often help create clarity, structure, and direction where it didn't previously exist.
  • Take initiative and don't wait to be asked. You see problems as opportunities and are comfortable stepping in to move work forward.
  • Are energized by ambiguity and willing to make decisions with imperfect information. We learn quickly by doing, and pace is a competitive advantage for us.
  • Enjoy being hands-on and owning work end to end. While strategic thinking matters, execution, follow-through, and accountability are what drive impact here.
  • Are motivated by high standards and continuous improvement. As we hit new milestones, we intentionally raise the bar on quality, ownership, and outcomes.
  • Value clear, frequent communication and collaboration. As a remote team, staying aligned through proactive communication is core to how we operate.
Benefits
  • Remote-first company structure
  • Medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k)
  • Mental wellbeing (Talkspace)
  • Financial wellbeing (LearnLux)
  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • Paid sabbatical after 5 years of service
  • A supportive, inclusive team culture
  • Opportunities for continuous learning and growth at a fast-growing startup at the cutting edge intersection of financial wellness and technology
