Job description

Duties May Include
  • Design, develop, and deploy a log analytics and infrastructure monitoring solution using the full Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, and Kibana) in support of an existing ICAM system.
  • Deploy, configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade Elastic clusters and environments, including daily administration tasks.
  • Optimize infrastructure and configuration of Elasticsearch to continuously maintain cluster health, search performance, and log data integrity across development and production environments.
  • Configure Kibana for end-user access using role-based filtering and/or multi-tenancy features; interface with developers to integrate the Elastic stack with the existing ICAM baseline.
  • Work within an Agile/DevSecOps environment, participating in sprint planning, design reviews, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline automation; develop mockups, wireframes, and architecture documentation.
  • Gather and report monthly and quarterly metrics for customer review; develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 5 or more years of demonstrable experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions using the Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats).
  • Active Top Secret security clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain a CI (Counterintelligence) polygraph.
  • Must be DoD-8570/8140 Level 2 compliant.
  • Experience with Elastic stack security features including client authentication, SSL/TLS configuration, and role-based document filtering.
  • Strong documentation skills with demonstrated ability to produce troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
  • Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence; must be highly autonomous and proactive in maintaining system infrastructure and data integrity.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Elastic Certified Engineer certification.
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in a production environment with strict availability and uptime requirements.
  • Experience or familiarity with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) technologies and concepts.
