EK is looking for a full-time Lead Industrial Electrician with a thorough knowledge of applied trade practices and techniques to join our Power Products team. Weโ€™re looking for a motivated electrician with diverse skills who is ready to jump in with a great group of people and push our Power Products division to the next level.
SUMMARY
Plans and directs the work of Electricians by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assembles electrical parts of enclosures and tanks using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs the work of electricians on specific projects
  • Confers with managers, engineers, production personnel, project manager or others to resolve issues.
  • Responsible for setting weekly/daily goals on specific projects to achieve peak efficiency.
  • Mentors new employees.
  • Evaluates processes for ways to improve quality, efficiency, and communication.
  • Responsible for enforcement of 6S
  • Reads and understands blueprints
  • Directs electricians on proper processes and techniques.
  • Inspects electrical systems using proper measuring equipment and documents inspection data when required.
  • Reports quality issues to electrical lead/manager.
  • Maintains electrical drawings and work instructions.
  • Uses forklifts, cranes and other lifting apparatus to aide in the electrical process.
  • Coordinates timeline for movement of materials to ensure theyโ€™re in the bays for use when needed.
  • Cleans and organizes work area
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED, plus three to five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician.
