A well-established and highly respected engineering consulting firm is seeking a Civil / Municipal Engineer to join its growing New Jersey team. This organization has a strong reputation for delivering impactful public infrastructure projects and maintaining long-term relationships with municipalities, utility authorities, and public-sector clients throughout the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on a diverse mix of municipal, transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects while having a clear path toward project management and leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Support roadway, drainage, stormwater, water, wastewater, and utility improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with municipal officials, public agencies, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Review development applications, subdivision plans, and public improvement projects.
  • Perform construction administration, field inspections, and project oversight.
  • Attend client meetings, planning board meetings, and public hearings as needed.
  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and support team development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
  • 3+ years of civil engineering experience with municipal or public infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with roadway design, drainage systems, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
